Team Woodards raises over $107,000 for homelessness

On 17 June as part of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout Woodards staff and directors slept in the Woodards carpark to raise money for homelessness.

Their target this year was $80,000 however they managed to raise a whopping $107,696.

Completing his fifth sleepout for Vinnies, CEO John Piccolo reflected that the camaraderie of the team made the night much easier.

“Unlike those that continually endure cold, winter’s nights with no shelter, food, family, or friends, we had each other to rely on for camaraderie, storytelling and some soup.”

This is the fifth sleepout that Woodards has taken part in.  Money that they have raised has purchased six soup vans for Vinnies.

John  is thankful for the generosity of everyone that help support Team Woodards.

“Thank you to all our supporters for your kind donation in what has been a difficult year. Our collective efforts do change lives and make a real difference. I know all at Vinnies, the Vannies, our community and all at Woodards are most appreciative.”
