Safe Places launched
The Woodards Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of their Safe Places project. This unique partnership has seen Woodards working with the Victorian Government and the Salvation Army to provide transitional housing for women facing homelessness.
Woodards initially donated the block of land in suburban Melbourne and then worked with the Victorian Government to build transitional housing on the site. Woodards is now working with the Salvation Army who are overseeing the placement of their clients in the accommodation.
The project will run for three years and in that time, we hope to house 12 women, giving them the stability and security to get back on their feet.
